Winnie the Pooh cake

Winnie the Pooh - Character cake:

Winnie the Pooh by a tree stump

This Winnie the Pooh birthday cake was a real show-stopper and we have had many requests for this unique cake design since.

Winnie the Pooh cake Stats:

  • The tree stump is made of our YUMMY chocolate fudge cake
  • It is filled with butter icing and covered in rolled fondant
  • The board on which Winnie the Pooh sits can be covered in the colour of your choice.

Winnie the Pooh is one of the most frequent requests we get for our unique style of cakes. Winnie the Pooh and friends, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and Heffalump are available in a wide range of styles but most popular as a sugar-art figurine on top of a round, square or rectangle cake.

The Winnie the Pooh figurines can be kept for years. Remove Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and/or Heffalump carefully from the cake and keep in a dry place out of direct sunlight as this can cause the colours to fade.

As you can see on the photo above we have made armies of Winnie the Pooh figurines for our Winnie the Pooh cupcakes and the figurines are also available to add to your party table or home made cake. Winnie the Pooh can sit, stand, lie on its back, cling to the side and Winnie the Pooh can even eat honey!

Winnie The Pooh Party

Winnie The Pooh Party 1
Winnie The Pooh Party
Winnie the Pooh parties are very popular with little kids, up to about 6 years of age. The characters are great fun to create a party around, and the Hundred Acre Woods is a perfect central decorating theme for your fun day.

We’ve organised a few Winnie the Pooh parties. Here are some of our ideas:

Create Rabbit’s Garden in your backyard for a treasure hunt. It’s much less messy if the carrots are paper and the soil is black plastic! Use some hardy cardboard as your white picket fence and don’t forget to put up some signs straight from The World of Pooh to make it authentic: ‘Rabit’s Garden’.

Play the old-standard “Pin the tail on the donkey” with a large cutout of Eeyore, making the tails out of grey and pink ribbon.

In one of my favourite childhood books, The World of Pooh, A.A. Milne writes about a party Christopher Robin throws for his best friend, Winnie the Pooh. Christopher sets a long table and the friends all have a grand picnic in the sunshine, under a shady tree. Take this as inspiration and host your party outdoors, even on picnic rugs and serve finger food inspired by pooh - carrots, honey sandwiches, beestings, cupcakes and homemade lemonade.

Popeye and Grab

Popeye and Grab 1Popeye and Grab
The Popeye in the frame grab above looks like it belongs in a Bowsky directed cartoon - not a Dave Tendlar directed cartoon.

Popeye and Grab 2
The wiggling posterior/spinach extricating action described in the quote above.

Another scene in the same drawing style as the first frame grab. The animation of Popeye chewing looks the same as chewing animation seen in other Bowsky directed Popeye cartoons. (see clip for action)

Also affectionately known as Pooh or Pooh Bear, he's probably the most famous bear in the world known to millions around the world.

Pooh is created by A.A Milne and named after a toy bear owned by his son, Christopher Robin Milne. Pooh's friends which include other popular characters such as Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga and Roo were also based on Christopher's stuffed animals.

Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, England is the setting of the Winnie the Pooh stories and it's place that the Milnes called home. Original versions of Winnie the Pooh stories were brought into beautiful illustrations by E.H. Shepard.

Besides being a very lovable bear adored by children, Winnie the Pooh's clear-eyed wisdom also win the hearts of adults.

Even decades after his first appearance, the Pooh Bear continues to steal the hearts of young and old alike.
Enjoy these Winnie the Pooh quotes and be enthralled by the magic of the Pooh Bear!

Furry Bear

If I were a bear,
And a big bear too,
I shouldn’t much care
If it froze or snew;
I shouldn’t much mind
If it snowed or friz —
I’d be all fur-lined
With a coat like his!

For I’d have fur boots and a brown fur wrap,
And brown fur knickers and a big fur cap.
I’d have a fur muffle-ruff to cover my jaws,
And brown fur mittens on my big brown paws.
With a big brown furry-down up to my head,
I’d sleep all the winter in a big fur bed.

Bugs Bunny Tattoos

Previously unheard of, today it is common for tattoo artists to offer popular cartoon characters as a tattoo design. Looney Toons characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are especially popular, as are Disney creations like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Tinkerbell. Of course these characters are all copyrighted and/or trademarked by their respective owners, making it technically illegal for the tattoo artist to apply them unless they have permission (usually in the form of licensing) from the owner of the copyright. So, you can't always just walk into a tattoo shop and ask the artist to give you a Speedy Gonzales or Heckle & Jeckell on your tush. Then again, it all depends on how worried the artist is that he might get into trouble. The FBI is probably a little to busy to be monitoring every tattoo parlor for copyright infringement.

Bugs Bunny
Bugs Bunny Wallpaper
Bugs Bunny is an Academy Award-winning animated rabbit/hare who appears in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated films produced by Leon Schlesinger Productions which became Warner Bros. Cartoons in 1944. Today, he is the corporate mascot for Warner Brothers, especially its animated productions.

According to his biography Bugs Bunny: 50 Years and Only One Grey Hare, he was "born" in 1940 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York and the product of many creators: Ben "Bugs" Hardaway (who created a prototypical version of Bugs Bunny known around Termite Terrace as Bugs' Bunny) Bob Clampett, Tex Avery (who directed A Wild Hare, considered Bugs' formal film debut), Robert McKimson (who created the definitive Bugs Bunny character design), Chuck Jones, and Friz Freleng.

According to Mel Blanc, the character's original voice actor, Bugs Bunny's accent is a Flatbush accent, an equal blend of the Bronx and Brooklyn dialects. Bugs Bunny remains one of the most popular and recognizable cartoon characters in the world. In 2002, he was named by TV Guide as the greatest cartoon character of all time. His catchphrase is a casual "What's up, Doc?" usually said through a mouthful of carrot. Source: Wikipedia.
