Quatre Raberba Winner

Quatre Raberba Winner (Katoru Rabāba Winā, derived from French quatre, lit. "four"), a fictional character, is one of the central characters in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and its various spinoffs. He is the fifteen-year-old pilot of the mobile suit Gundam Sandrock.

Quatre Raberba Winner

Quatre is of Arab descent. His last name Winner (written in Arabic as Fayez), could suggest that he is of a Jordanian origin since its one of the most known families in Jordan. The first name (Quatre) is from French and translates to the number four. His middle name suggests Berber heritage, which would partially explain his appearance as some Berbers carry European DNA.

His encounter with Wing Zero notwithstanding, Quatre seems the most well-adjusted of the Gundam pilots, generally displaying a kind, humble personality. As a believer in the ideal of pacifism, he is a reluctant soldier who expresses sorrow when forced to kill his enemies. He thinks first before he acts, regrets the bad decisions he makes, and always tries to seek forgiveness. He also has a fondness towards animals and loves to play with them.

Quatre is also implied to have a form of extrasensory perception or something similar, which he refers to as the "heart of outer space" ("uchuu no kokoro" in Japanese). This ability remains largely unexplored throughout the series, leaving many fans to speculate as to its depth and overall usefulness. Much of this debate is rooted in episode 10, which seems to imply that the "Space Heart" is a form of limited telepathy or empathy. In another case, in episode 26, he appears to be able to read Heero's thoughts (of 'the person on Earth': Relena) by touching his heart. However, this discussion is further complicated by a cryptic remark made at the end of the series, in which Quatre states that: "I understand now. The space heart is him [Heero]." Ironically enough, this would seem to imply that, for most of the series, even Quatre remains largely ignorant as to the exact nature of his abilities.

Quatre plays the violin and the piano, and confides to Lucrezia Noin that music relaxes him.

Trowa Barton

Trowa Barton (Torowa Bāton, derived from French trois, lit. "three") is one of the five leading characters from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.

Trowa Barton

Trowa is a quiet, though determined person. Patient and calm, he will analyze a situation before acting. He tends to prefer to be low-key, although some speculate he does have an unconscious desire to be noticed due to the fact that of all the names he could have chosen for himself, he chose that of an extremely wealthy and high-profile (though deceased) man; it would be difficult to blend in with a name like that. Trowa is often portrayed as an observer who carefully calculates the moves of others before deciding his own course of action. Blessed with unlimited patience, Trowa is able to wait until the opportune moment to come to the aid of his fellow pilots. When on the battlefield, Trowa attacks his enemies with utter ruthlessness and deadly accuracy. He tends to hide his feelings well behind an impassive mask.

Trowa Barton

Despite his emotionlessness, Trowa had developed a friendship with Quatre Raberba Winner. Symbolically, Trowa is often affiliated with masks not only because of his neutrality and his talent for infiltrating enemy ranks, but also because of his side-job as a circus clown --a job where his dress is a costume and painted mask. Trowa is also shown to have a strong connection with animals as when he first joined the circus. He seems passive about misfortune, seeming to have the attitude of "what will be, will be." Due to his long history of combat, he is the most experienced pilot.

Duo Maxwell

Duo Maxwell (Dyuo Makkusuweru, derived from Latin duo, lit. "two") is a fictional character from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. He is a central character of the anime and several of the derivative works that make up the After Colony fictional universe. Duo is the pilot of Gundam Deathscythe, one of the five Gundams sent to Earth during the events of the anime.

Duo Maxwell

In the anime prequel manga, it is revealed that Duo was an orphan growing up on the streets of an L2 colony.

In the year AC 187, after a reckless attempt to steal food from an Alliance military warehouse, he and some other children were taken in and cared for by Father Maxwell and Sister Helen at the Maxwell Church. It is from Sister Helen that he adopts the practice of braiding his hair. Though the other children were eventually adopted Duo was always returned to the church, and remained in their care until AC 188.

In that year, rebels would claim the church for a refuge after a battle with the Alliance. When Father Maxwell protested their use of violence, they struck him down and accused the priest and Sister Helen of being Alliance spies. Hoping to appease them, Duo rushed off and stole a mobile suit. Upon returning, he found the church has been destroyed, the Alliance having attacked in his absence. Duo finds Sister Helen amidst the ruins, and before she dies she tells him he has God's blessing. The incident would later be known as the Maxwell Church Tragedy, which resulted in the death of 245 people, Duo being the sole survivor. Following this, Duo was imprisoned for an unspecified amount of time by the Alliance.

In AC 192, Duo is discovered stowing away on board a space shuttle and meets Professor G, who is impressed the boy managed to sneak past his security system. He subsequently becomes involved in Operation Meteor.

As shown in both the manga and flashbacks in the Endless Waltz OVA, Duo joins the Sweeper Group and becomes the pilot of Gundam Deathscythe.
